LacriCATH®

Quest's LacriCATH® balloon catheters have revolutionized the treatment of blocked tear ducts (chronic epiphora and nasolacrimal duct obstruction) in children and adults.

LacriCATH balloon catheters are used in a similar way to ordinary probing with the added benefit of an expandable balloon. The catheter also offers more options to patients who have been told that only incisional DCR surgery will resolve their blocked tear duct and chronic tearing problem. Our patented balloon catheter design allows surgeons to achieve highly effective results while reducing postoperative trauma that patients may experience. Quest ophthalmic products are easy to use and provide cost-effective treatment of chronic epiphora in both pediatric and adult patients.

Treatments of chronic laceration and tear duct obstruction using LacriCATH balloon catheters are less invasive and less traumatic for the patient. Available in sizes and styles for both dacryoplasty (DCP) and dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) procedures, LacriCATH balloon catheters offer patients seeking treatment for epiphora a simple and effective alternative to incisional surgery.
